The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has confirmed that an aircraft belonging to force crashed in Igbokoda area of Ondo State in the early hours of Monday.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, said the aircraft was on “routine mission” when the incident occurred.
In statement made available to TheCable, Ejodame said rescue operation was underway following crash.
Earlier report and video online showed many passengers in aircraft are feared dead, but no official report on actual number of casualties has been released.
