The EFCC on Thursday, May 12, 2022, re-arraigned two suspected fraudsters, Adeyemi Oluwaseun and Suleiman Yusuf Obhakume.
They were rearraigned before Justice Tijani G. Ringim of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy and impersonation to the tune of N14, 749,000 (Fourteen Million, Seven Hundred and Forty-nine Thousand Naira).
The defendants, who are employees of First Marina Trust Limited, had previously been arraigned sometime in 2018 before Justice Austine Obiozor, who has now been transferred out of the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court.
At Thursday’s proceedings, the prosecution counsel, Emeka Omewa, stated that the matter was coming up before the court for the first time, “hence the plea of the defendants should be retaken.”
