President Bola Tinubu on Thursday appointed Mr. Ola Olukoyede as the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Olukoyede’s appointment followed the resignation of the suspended Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa
Things to know about the New EFCC Boss, Ola Olukoyede:
- Ola Olukoyede is a lawyer with over 22years experience as a regulatory compliance consultant and specialist in fraud management and corporate intelligence.
- Olukoyede has experience in the operations of the EFCC, having served at different times as COS to Ibrahim Magu in 2016-2018 and secretary to the commission in 2018-2023
- He earned his Degree from Lagos State University, University of Lagos, institute of Arbitration-Paris and Havard University
- Olukoyede is an ordained pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church Of God.
- He is the Lead Pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of Refuge, Lagos.
- Olukoyede is from Ekiti State, South-west region of Nigeria.
- He was born in Ikere-Ekiti on 14 October 1969.
