Ahead of the 2027 general election, the PBAT Continuity Project, PCP has intensified its grassroots mobilisation drive for the reelection of President Bola Tinubu with the strategic engagement and sensitisation of women from across the 18 local government areas of Ondo state.

The carnival like event held at the PCP Campaign office along Oyemekun Road in Akure Ondo state capital on Thursday was generously sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Hon Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and attended by hundreds of women within the All Progressives Congress, APC from the 18 local government areas of the state, former Commissioners, ex-council bosses, political office holders and Prominent APC chieftains.

The women, clad in different beautiful Ankara fabrics and faz-caps with pictures of President Bola Tinubu boldly printed on it chanted various songs, hailing the transformational efforts of Tinubu since he assumed office, three years ago and why he should be reflected.

Addressing the women, the PCP Director-General, Pastor Femi Agaagu described women as great mobilisers, hence the decision to sensitise them on the need to propagate the good works of President Tinubu especially at the grassroots.

Agagu reeled out the legacy projects under Tinubu to include Infrastructure developments, Economic and Urban renewal initiatives Education loan to students and the appointment of three key ministers from Ondo state, which he considered most beneficial to the state.

He also asserted that Women generally, had faired better under President Tinubu especially with the Renewed Hope Initiative and must be ready to support him beyond 2027 for more democratic gains.

Agagu charged the women to embark on aggressive mobilisation of other women in their various communities ahead of the 2027 Presidential election in order to garner massive votes for Tinubu as Ondo state prepares to ensure a landslide victory for the president.

The former Commissioner appreciated the minister of Interior, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for his undying commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s re-lection as evident in his huge financial commitment to many support groups in Ondo state including the PCP and for bridging infrastructural gap in rural areas of Ondo state through community connect.

Welcoming the women to the sensitisation programme, the chairman of PBAT women committee, Chief (Mrs) Olubunmi Osadahun opined that women constitute larger percentage of the society hence the mobilisation efforts is starting with women.

Chief Osadahun encouraged the women to take the gospel of Bola Tinubu 2027 to all the nooks and crannies of Ondo state, reeling out the remarkable achievements of his administration.

She also paid glowing tributes to the Interior minister, Tunji-Ojo for his regular support to the PCP and always ensuring that President Tinubu reelection agenda is aggressively pursued in Ondo state.

In their goodwill messages, former commissioners, Mrs Tola Awoh, Yeyeoba Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, Hon Yemi Olowolabi, Hon Taye Akinyele, Hon Kole Akinbolarin and an APC chieftain in Owo, Hon Isiaka Elegberunibon enjoined the women to reach out to more women widely, preaching the outstanding performance of President Tinubu to both young and old in their various communities.

Some of the women, Mrs Olayinka Raji, Mrs Bola Oladapo and Olori Josephine Olatunji observed that President Tinubu’s life changing projects speak for him, promising to return to their various communities with the gospel of Tinubu 2027.

The women also hailed Hon Tunji-Ojo for giving Ondo state women a sense of belonging in the administration of President Bola Tinubu through the funding of Infrastructure projects in rural communities of state.

The event witnessed a special prayer session for the administration of President Bola Tinubu, the MInister of Interior, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the All Progressives Congress and Ondo state.
