Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has approved the appointment of Chairmen for the 24 Boards of Parastatals of the State.

The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa who announced this in a statement said the appointment of the Non-tenure Chairmen followed the Governor’s decision to reconstitute the Boards .

According to him the boards were dissolved at the expiration of his first tenure based on the Executive Powers conferred on him by the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amendend.

Masari said it becomes imperative to reconstitute the Boards so as to spur sustainable development in the operations of the State Parastatals.

He stated that the appointment was based on merit and in recognition of wealth of experience of the appointees and their contributions to the development of the State.

The Governor seizes the opportunity to congratulate the new appointees and prayed for Allah’s guidance in discharging their duties as Boards Chairmen.

They include; Alh. Muhammad Daha Umar (Dan Buran Daura) – Sports Council, Dr. Ma’aruf Sani Kankia – Urban and Regional Planning BoardAAlh. Muhammad Daha Umar (Dan Buran Daura) – Sports CouncilDr. Ma’aruf Sani Kankia – Urban and Regional Planning BoardAlh Musbahu Naiya – Library BoardHon. Sani Sa’idu Fago – Rural Electricity BoardHon Umar Danjuma Katsina (Kasagi) – History and Culture Bureau ,Alh Musbahu Naiya – Library Board, Hon. Sani Sa’idu Fago – Rural Electricity Board, Umar Danjuma Katsina (Kasagi) – History and Culture Bureau.

Also; Alh. Aminu Jamo – Hotels Board , Alh. Kabir Aliyu Maska – State Environmental Protection Agency, Hon Commissioner, Ministry of Sports and Social Development – State Emergency Management Agency, Alh. Aliyu Balarabe Saulawa – Land Use And Allocation Committee, Sen. Abubakar Sadiq Yar’adua – State Radio And Television Services, Yusuf Suleiman Jibia – Scholarship Board, Alhaji Abdulaziz Lawal Danyari – Youth Craft Village, Engr. Bello Mohammed – Water Board, Hajia Mariya Abdullahi – Science And Technical Education Board.

Others include; Alhaji Junaidu Mamuda Yantumaki – Housing Authority, Alhaji El-Makky Hassan Rafindadi – Agency For Mass Education, Dr. Habib Ibrahim – Hospital Services Management Board, Alhaji Aminu Abdulmumini Kabir Usman – Islamic Education Bureau, Alhaji Bilyaminu Muhammad Daura – Transport Authority, Engr. Bello Ibrahim (Kogon Katsina) – RUWASSA, Dr. Aliyu Rabi’u Kurfi – FASCOT, Muhammad Sada Musa – College of Nursing and Midwifery, Chairman, Local Govt. Service Commission – Local Govt. Service Commission and Alh, Yusuf Barmo – Pilgrims Welfare Board

The appointments are with immediate effect
