The former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, has been extradited to Nigeria from Niamey, Niger Republic by the men of the Nigeria Police Force.
Maina was re-arrested in Niger Republic on Monday evening.

The NPF in a statement confirming his arrest said the arrest was possible because of an existing mutual relationship and security agreement between the two countries.

Maina who landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 2:30 pm was on his way to the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking with journalists at the airport, the Commissioner of Police in charge of Interpol said Maina was brought back to Nigeria on the directive of the IGP, Mohammed Adamu.
He is being prosecuted on 12 counts of money laundering to the tune of N2 billion by the EFCC.
