French President Emmanuel Macron hosted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a private dinner at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Thursday night.
The meeting took place during Tinubu’s visit to France as part of his European vacation. The private engagement provided an opportunity for both leaders to maintain high-level contact and discuss issues linked to Nigeria-France relations.
The encounter also underscored both countries’ interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation across areas of mutual importance. France and Nigeria have maintained diplomatic relations covering economic, security, cultural and development interests.
The Élysée Palace is the official residence and workplace of the French president.
The meeting comes as both countries continue efforts to deepen partnership and expand cooperation in areas of shared interest
