This was disclosed in a press statement issued by Mr. Tunde Adeleye, the Commissioner in charge of Communication, Publicity, and ICT, on behalf of the Commission.

Adeleye confirmed that a deadline had been set for political parties to submit their list of candidates for the polls.

According to the statement, out of all the political parties, 10 have duly complied with the directive and have submitted their candidates’ list to ODIEC within the stipulated timeframe.

Adeleye emphasized that ODIEC has fulfilled its statutory obligations by promptly publishing the list and personal information of the candidates running for the positions of Councilor’s.

“To ensure transparency and accessibility, this information has been prominently displayed in all 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs) at the local government offices of ODIEC.”
