Mr. Osibodu expressed satisfaction on the conduct of the exercise, explaining that verification of candidates was zoned into the three Senatorial Districts of the state, to make the process seamless, as well as allow candidates return to their destination on time.

While assuring political parties of carrying out a thorough process, he said, “I have said it times without number that, you should trust the process. I guarantee you that at the end of it, everybody will see that we are fair”.

Also speaking, one of the Commissioners at the Commission, Mr. Tunji Akoni, encouraged aspirants to engage with voters directly and ensure their campaigns get to the grassroots, reassuring that OGSEIC would be committed at conducting free, fair and credible elections.

In her remarks, another Commissioner in the Commission, Mrs Gbemi Onasanya, stressed the need for parties to present trustworthy and loyal party agents, who would protect their votes on election day
