The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has shut four churches and six other establishments in Ojo area of the state for violating environmental laws.
The churches shut are – Rockslide Gospel Church, Mountain of Faith International Gospel, Jesus International Christian Church and Zion Believers Church.
Other establishments shut are Unique Caesar & Bar, Recycling Company, New Yorker Hotel, Flex Bar & Spa Hotel, VLC Donald Restaurant & Event Centre and VLC Donald Hotel.
The Agency, on its X handle on Tuesday, said it intensified its enforcement efforts against violators of the State Environmental Laws 2017, sealing off several establishments in Ojo, Lagos State, for non-compliance with the regulations.
It said the affected establishments, including churches, hotels, bars, Event Centre and Recycling Company were found to be in violation of the State Environmental Laws
The General Manager, LASEPA, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, stated, “We will not hesitate to take necessary actions against any establishment that fails to comply with the State’s environmental regulations.
“We urge all businesses to take responsibility for their environmental impact and work with the State government to create a better future for Lagos.”
