The Kwara State Government has handed over relief materials to the State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
A statement by the Kwara Command Correctional PRO, DSC Philip Adegbulugbe said the donation was in line with government intervention to meet with the urgent need of the newly admitted inmates in the state.
He listed items received from government to include; 230 Pieces of Mattress, 230 Pieces of Blankets, 250 Pieces of Mats and 50 Cartoons of Detergent Washing Soap.
While delivering the items, the Secretary to the State Government , Saba Jibril, stated that the State Government is ready to partner with all the federal Agencies in the Stat5
Federal Agencies in the State to ensure that the dividend of democracy is equally distributed.
The State Controller of Corrections in the State Mr Adebisi Adewale Francis, while receiving the items on behalf of the Controller General of the Service, Alhaji Ja’afaru Ahmed thanked the Governor for the good gesture and promised to judiciously distribute the items to the various Custodial centres in the State.
