The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has directed the Nigeria Civil Aviation Agency to place Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, better known as K1 De Ultimate, on a no-fly list.

Keyamo, who announced this in a post on his X handle on Thursday, said the artiste would be on the list pending full investigation over an incident involving him during boarding at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday.

Keyamo, in the long post on X, said he had reviewed footage from the incident which happened on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

According to him, contrary to what agents of KWAM 1 claimed, the singer “constantly moved his position to actually block the aircraft from taxiing”.

Keyamo made it clear that the issue of whether KWAM 1 was carrying water or alcohol is not as important as his “totally unacceptable behaviour” on the tarmac.

The Minister noted that “it is the physical blockage of the aircraft from taxiing that is the reprehensible conduct here which akin to a hostage situation.”

On the ValueJet captain and pilot, Keyamo insisted that no amount of provocation should have made them begin to taxi “without ensuring that the security personnel have safely moved an unruly passenger away that is standing in front of an aircraft.”

Keyamo has hailed the temporary suspension of the license of the captain and the pilot pending full investigation by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

He has also directed NCAA to place KWAM 1 on a no-fly list “pending further and full investigation, just like the Captain and Pilot.”

All airlines both domestic and International have been directed to take note, as anyone who flouts this directive risks withdrawal of their operating licence.
