Muhammad Gado Suleiman Marafa, Special Adviser to the Governor of Kebbi State, has died after a prolonged illness.
Marafa, who also served as Commissioner for Information and Culture, Chairman of Fakai Local Government Area, and member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, died on Thursday.
He also held positions as Commissioner for Solid and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of the Kebbi State Health Management Agency, KECHEMA.
Governor Nasir Idris expressed sadness over the passing, describing Marafa as a respected stakeholder from Fakai LGA and a committed public servant.
In a condolence message, the governor said the deceased contributed immensely to the development of Kebbi State and would be remembered for his service and dedication to his people.
Idris prayed to Allah to forgive Marafa’s shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
He also extended condolences to the family, the people of Fakai LGA and the entire people of Kebbi State.
The family announced that burial will take place on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the 1st Izala Juma’at Mosque in Zuru after Juma’at prayer.
Condolences have continued to pour in from political leaders and associates who described him as a respected elder and community leader.
