The Governor on his verified Facebook page:

“In reaffirming our commitment to transparent, accountable, and people-centered governance, we convened a Special Town Hall Meeting to deliberate on the Proposed 2026 Multi-Year Budget of N985.9 billion, a strategic fiscal blueprint comprising N699.7 billion (71 per cent) in capital expenditure and N286.2 billion (29 per cent) in recurrent spending.

“This was not merely a statutory exercise; it was a democratic forum rooted in the belief that public finance must reflect public consensus and collective aspiration.

“The conversations were intellectually rich and deeply constructive. Representatives of civil society, traditional institutions, the Elders Council, faith leaders, youth groups, persons with disabilities, the private sector, and grassroots actors engaged with uncommon candor and analytical depth.

“Their commendations on the strong performance of the 2025 Budget underscored the visible impact of our interventions, while their recommendations affirmed the maturity of Kaduna’s civic ecosystem.

“These insights will be meticulously harmonised into the final budget as we advance toward delivering Kaduna State’s 2026 Budget of Consolidating Rural Transformation for Inclusive Development.

“The Town Hall also allowed us to present a comprehensive two-year performance scorecard across key sectors. Our administration remains steadfast in accelerating service delivery, strengthening institutional resilience, and deepening citizen participation as a cornerstone of democratic governance.

“As we enter 2026, our focus is one of consolidation and forward momentum; expanding rural infrastructure, scaling human capital development, and ensuring that every community becomes a beneficiary of inclusive growth.

” Together with our citizens, we are shaping a Kaduna State defined not only by progress, but by shared purpose and collective ownership of our development journey.”
