Bandits have killed a pastor’s son and kidnapped his wife alongside three others in Karimbu-Kahugu community, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
It was gathered that the gunmen attacked the pastor’s house in the early hours of Friday, March 10, 2023.
Confirming the attack to newsmen, the Vice Chairman, Kahugu National Development Association, Peter Mukaddas, said the bandits invaded the community and went straight to the pastor’s house.
“In the process, killed his son who refused to be kidnapped. However, his wife and three others who were in the house during the invasion were abducted,” he said.
“We are calling on the state government to intervene and ensure they return safely to their homes. We are fervently praying to God to touch their hearts so that they can see the wisdom to release them,” Mukaddas added.
It was gathered that the terrorists operated for over an hour unchallenged. In the process, they reportedly shoot sporadically at the ceiling where the Pastor’s son was hiding.
According to the community leader, the bandits have not contacted any person in the community for ransom.
