The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has restored its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) after a temporary disruption.
The Board, in a statement on Monday, said the platform is now fully operational and urged tertiary institutions to expedite admission processes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
It also advised candidates to promptly accept admission offers made to them on the portal.
JAMB disclosed that public universities are expected to conclude admissions by October 31, 2026, private universities by November 30, while other tertiary institutions have until December 31, 2026.
The examination body further urged candidates who sat for the 2026 National Examinations Council Senior School Certificate Examination (NECO SSCE) to upload their results on the CAPS portal following the release of the results.
According to JAMB, the upload is necessary to enable institutions consider such candidates as admissions intensify.
The Board apologised for the inconvenience caused by the disruption and appreciated candidates, institutions and other stakeholders for their patience.
CAPS remains JAMB’s official platform for processing admissions into Nigerian tertiary institutions, allowing schools to recommend qualified candidates and enabling candidates to monitor and accept their admission status.
