Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youths in Kaduna state have joined the call for the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu to step down.
Spokesperson of the PDP Kaduna youths, Shehu Isah made the call during a television interview.
Isah stated that Ayu’s resignation would be in the best interest of the party, adding that failure to do so would cost the party the 2023 presidential election.
“Dr. Iyorchia Ayu should step down. We need PDP National Chairman Dr. Ayu to step down. We can’t hold almost three positions in the North.
“That is why we need the just one thing. We don’t want Northern People Democratic Party, and we don’t want Southern People Democratic Party.
“But, in this internal crisis, I don’t think we would win this election. We are calling on the PDP National Chairman Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, you should fulfil your promise”, he added.
