The All Progressives Congress, APC Candidate, Bola Tinubu, has been declared winner of the 2023 presidential election.
The INEC Chairman and Chief Collation Officer, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu announced Tinubu as the winner at the National Collation Center, Abuja.
According to Yakubu, Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.
His closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, scored 6,984, 520 votes while Labour Party’s Peter Obi secured 6,101, 533 votes to come third.
Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has 1,496,687 votes.
Mahmood said the Certificate of Returns for Tinubu and his running mate will be issued by 3pm today, March 1.
