Eighteen migrants have been arrested in Oyo State in possession of the Permanent Voters Cards, PVC, scheming to participate in the 2023 elections in the state.
They were arrested by men of the State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS.
The State Comptroller NIS, Issa Dansuleiman, disclosed this in a press briefing with newsmen yesterday in his office.
He said that the command in the state swung into action, which led to the apprehension of eighteen migrants found with voter’s cards.
He said ;
“The Oyo State Command of Nigeria Immigration Service under my supervision in October switched into action across the length and breadth of the state and eighteen migrants were found with Voters Cards.
“The said migrants having violated the law of the land were repatriated to their countries of origin.”
