The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on 22nd April 2026, attended the closing ceremony of the Squadron Commanders’ Training Programme at the Police Mobile Force (PMF) Training College, Ende-Hills, Nasarawa State, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership capacity and operational effectiveness within the Nigeria Police Force.
During the visit, the IGP inspected key training facilities, including the simulation ground and shooting range, where he participated in tactical exercises, demonstrating leadership by example and reinforcing the importance of continuous, scenario-based training in modern policing.
Addressing cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy currently undergoing training at the College, the Inspector-General charged them to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to the rigours of their training.
He emphasized the importance of resilience, professionalism, and adherence to human rights principles, noting that the quality of their training will define their effectiveness and conduct in the field.
In his remarks at the closing ceremony, the IGP commended the Squadron Commanders for successfully completing the intensive training programme, urging them to translate the knowledge acquired into improved leadership, operational discipline, and tactical efficiency within their respective formations.
He reiterated the need for the Police Mobile Force to remain a highly disciplined, responsive, and reliable tactical arm of the Force.
The IGP further reaffirmed his commitment to improving officers welfare and strengthening operational capacity across the Police Mobile Force, assuring of sustained efforts to adequately equip formations to effectively respond to evolving security challenges nationwide
