The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has declared Tuesday, 10th August 2021 as Public holiday to commemorate the beginning of a new Islamic year.
This was contained in a circular signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun on Friday in Ibadan.
“While declaring Tuesday as a work-free day to celebrate the 1st Muharram (Hijrah) 1443AH”.
Governor Makinde enjoined residents to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity and sustainability of Oyo state and Nigeria in general.
