Alan Fisher (Ireland),a Chef and owner of a restaurant in Japan has dethroned Nigerian chef Hilda Baci to become the new cook-a-than Guinness World Record holder.
Fisher broke two cooking-related Guinness World Records titles to become holder for the longest cooking hours by an individual.
This was made known in a post shared by the Guinness World Records on their X account on Tuesday.
Sharing the news, GWR said, “Nigerian cooking queen Hilda Baci has been dethroned 😳
Fisher, broke Hilda Baci’s record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) after cooking for 119 hours and 57 minutes.
That is more than 24 hours longer than the previous record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.”
Reacting to the development on her verified X account on Tuesday, Hilda Baci, who previously held the record with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes, congratulated Fisher on his success.
While wishing him all the best as the new record holder for cooking marathons, she described the new record set by the Irish chef as a huge achievement.
She wrote, “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!
