Five farmers were feared killed allegedly by unknown gunmen on Friday in Ife-Modakeke area of Osun state.
An eyewitness told our correspondent that the bodies were found around Toro Road in Modakeke early Friday morning and have now been evacuated by the Police.
The spokesman for the Osun State Police Command SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, revealing that the Commissioner of Police Olawale Olokode has ordered the deployment of his men to the communities.
“I heard some people were killed and the Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, has deployed more of our men to the scene. Our men are doing everything possible to restore peace in the area,” he said
