According to the governor, his administration decided to construct the road in order to open up the potentials that abound in the Farin Ruwa area, especially after the federal government took over the construction of the Farin Ruwa dam project, previously initiated by the first civilian administration of Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

Engineer Sule stressed that his administration embarked on the construction of the road to open up opportunities in the area, which has been forgotten, particularly in agriculture and tourism.

The governor commended the Chinese construction company that handled the project, the CCECC, a highly reputable company delivery quality services across the country.

Engineer Sule announced that the Federal Government has taken over the construction of the Farin Ruwa dam, estimated to cost N8bn, with work since commenced, with a view to providing portable drinking water and hydropower.

He added that, recently, after a visit by the Minister of Information, Tourism and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the FG, expressed willingness to promote the Farin Ruwa tourism site, with the area also identified as one of the newly created national parks.

Handing over the project to the state government, Managing Director of the CCECC Nigeria Limited, described the event as historic, with the projected completed in spite of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the contractor, the two-lane modern carriageway, will improve transportation and investment in the area.
