The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has dissolved the 14 Local Government Councils Sole Administrators in the state with effect from, Friday 4th June 2021.
The dissolution followed the expiration of their tenure elongation of 6months by the Governor,according to a statement signed by the permanent secretary, Ministry of information, Abubakar Jafar Maradun.
The statement reads, “The dissolution of the Local Government Councils Sole Administrators followed the expiration of their tenure elongation period of six months as earlier approved by Zamfara State House of Assembly which expired on Friday 4th June 2021.
“In view of this, the outgoing Local Government Councils Sole Administrators have been directed to hand over the Affairs of their Local Government Councils to their respective Directors of Administration and General Services with immediate effect.
“His Excellency, Governor Bello Matawalle thanked the outgoing local Government Councils Sole Administrators for their services to the State and wished them success in their future endeavors,” the statement added.
