Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has presented N800bn 2024 budget estimates to the Edison Ehie-led Rivers Assembly at the Government House the same moment the demolition was carried out.
The governor made the presentation on Wednesday during a plenary consisting five members of the house loyal to him.
The development is coming a few moments after the state government commenced the demolition of the House of Assembly complex.
Recall that 27 members of the House who are loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former governor of the state, Nyesom Wike had dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The 27 lawmakers were absent when the governor presented the budget on Wednesday.
