Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has lost his bid to be elected into the Senate to represent the Kebbi Central Senatorial District.

Bagudu, the Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum lost to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate, Senator Adamu Aliero.

Announcing the result in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State capital, the Returning Officer Professor Abbas Yusuf Bazata declared Aliero winner having polled 126,588 votes against the Governor who scored 92,389 votes.

In the same vein, Senator Bala Na’allah who is seeking a fifth term in the National Assembly for Kebbi South Senatorial District has lost the election.

The result released by the Returning Officer, Professor Ibrahim Mohammed, shows that Senator Na’allah of the APC secured 70,785 votes losing to PDP’s Garba Madaki who secured 75,232 votes.
