The Police Command in Gombe State has arrested two suspects for allegedly vandalising TCN infrastructure in Tumi village, Akko Local Government Area.

The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement issued in Gombe.

He said the suspects, Musa Bappa (20) and Musa Usman (22), are both residents of Zange village in Kumo, Akko LGA.

According to him, the suspects were arrested by Akko Division surveillance operatives following credible intelligence.

He said the suspects were found with 14 tower line channel irons believed to have been vandalised from TCN installations within the Gombe sub-region.

Abdullahi stated that the value of the recovered items had yet to be ascertained.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to conspiring with one Ibrahim Jauro Barhama and another man known only as Duna, both now at large.

The act of vandalism occurred at Mararraban Tumu village, targeting tower structures belonging to the Transmission Company of Nigeria.

A team of detectives visited the crime scene, recovered exhibits, and have commenced preliminary investigations to arrest the fleeing suspects.

Abdullahi reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting critical infrastructure and warned against sabotage threatening public safety and economic stability.

In a related incident, Abdullahi revealed that three suspects were arrested in Bajoga, Funakaye LGA, for criminal conspiracy and motorcycle theft.

He said the stolen motorcycle had been recovered and investigations continue to ensure all culprits are brought to justice.
