Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has described as shocking the death of the father of the former governor of Kano state, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, Alhaji Musa Sale, Makaman Karaye,
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Ansari ,the Governor said “When the information reached us, apart from being shocked and jittery about it, we all believe that, a great father has passed away.”
“The feeling of this shockingly striking death will remain with us forever. Our great father was indeed a guide and an embodiment of patience, courage, humility, and a complete human being of endearing character and exemplary leadership,” he said.
He stated that, “It is with deep sense of grief and un-imagined feeling and on behalf of the government and people of Kano state, that we are sending our condolence message to the former governor of Kano state, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, his relations, and the Karaye Emirate, over the shocking death of our beloved father Baba Musa Sale Kwankwaso who died at the age of 93 years.”

Governor Ganduje attested that, Kano state lost and illustrious son, of high degree of exemplary character, whose leadership qualities earned him recognition, respect, and good end to his Lord, “…his Cherisher, Sustainer, Protector and Forgiver,” he puts.
“What remains for us now, is to pray for Allah’s Forgiveness and Blessings on the reposed soul of our dear father and seek Allah’s guidance to give us all, the courage to bear this great loss. May Allah forgive all his mistakes and reward his good deeds with Ridha and Jannah, ameen,” governor Ganduje prayed.
The governor further urged all to copy from the exemplary life Makaman Karaye left behind, adding that, “We must all take a leaf from our dear father. A rare gem and flagship of discipline, respect, modesty, courage, patience and above all an elder statesman, who fathered excellently well,”he concludes.
