Ganduje Approves Recruitment Of Over 500 Health Professionals

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has approved the recruitment of over 500 health professionals as part of commitment towards moving the health sector to greater heights

The Professionals include Doctors, Pharmacists, Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Scientists and other allied health professionals.

This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa in Kano on Tuesday at the distribution of Certificates to graduates who, just came back from Sudan universities.

The 103 who graduated from Al-Ahfad University for Women, El-Razi University, Omdurman Islamic University and Sudan International University where the state government cleared over 80 percent of their outstanding bills.

Tsanyawa who appreciated the Governor for his commitment to the health sector said, “In his effort to see to continued progress of the health sector, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed us to go round to all the 484 Wards in the state and asses the state of being of their health facilities.”

After going round, Tsanyawa disclosed that, governor Ganduje also gave another approval for the employment of 1,500 other sets of health care workers, who would be posted to those 484 health care facilities.

In his brief remarks, the Governor expressed joy at the graduation ceremony, noting that it was another opportunity to distribute Certificates to the graduates.

Adding that, “Our population feels safe, especially for the fact that most of you who graduated from Sudan Universities are female. These means a lot, as far as our culture and religion are concerned. Women will feel more comfortable to be treated in hospital by their female folks.”

He assured them that the state would pay all other needed expenses in line with their professional demands, emphasising that, “We are not done with you till when we give you your appointment letters.”
