MTN Nigeria has warned subscribers to beware of fraudulent online links and fake promotions claiming to offer a free 25GB data bundle to mark the company’s 25th-anniversary celebration.
In a fraud advisory issued on Friday, the telecommunications company urged customers not to click suspicious web links, share personal information, or make payments on third-party platforms claiming to host the promotion.
MTN said all legitimate offers can only be accessed through the official MyMTN NG mobile app or the MTN eShop portal.
Eligible customers should verify any promotion through direct SMS from MTN or via banner prompts within authorized channels.
The company added that valid promotional data bundles will remain active until the expiration time stated in official communications.
