Agboola Ajayi, a former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has lost his election bid into the Senate to represent Ondo South on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ajayi, lost to Jimoh Ibrahim of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The election, which was held on Saturday in Ondo, saw Jimoh score 110,665 votes to beat Ajayi, who polled 65,784 votes.
Prof. Johnson Fashimilehin, the INEC Returning Officer, declared Jimoh as the winner of the election.
Fashimilehin said today, “having polled the highest number of votes of 110, 665 against 65, 784, I hereby declare Ibrahim of APC winner of the election in Ondo South.”
