The Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre, Nguru, Yobe State, Prof. Hadiza Abdullahi Usman, has lost her twin daughters within two days.
The deceased are Dr. Hadiyah Usman Abdullahi, a medical doctor, and Aidah Usman Abdullahi, a pharmacist, who died of complications from sickle cell disease.

Her twin, Aidah, was also on admission at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital but recovered and was discharged. She attended her sister’s burial.
Two days later, on Sunday, October 4, Aidah visited her sister’s grave, suddenly collapsed and was rushed to hospital where she died.
FMC Nguru confirmed Aidah’s death on its Facebook page, describing her as the second twin of Prof. Usman.
