Speaking at the TCN office, the Governor reiterated his administration’s determination to improve power supply in the state.

He noted that the inadequacy of electricity supply is one of the biggest impediments to the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector, saying “This must be reversed to enhance the capacity of Small Scale Industries in the state”.

He lauded the federal government for approving the construction of a 132KV line to Mubi and sub-stations at Mubi, Song, Gombi and Gulak.

According to him, “Expanding the Transmission network will no doubt make a difference in many ways towards the socio-economic growth of Adamawa state”.
While advising the management of TCN to go off-grid through by-passing the moribund power sector, he urged them to make it possible for the laudable Yola power project become reality.

He said it will go a long way in improving the socio-economic development of the Northern part of Adamawa when completed.

The acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria Sulei Ahmed Abdulaziz commended the concern of the government of Adamawa state towards the timely completion of the power project.

He regretted the lack of adequate budgetary provision, which he said has been hampering the smooth execution of the project.

He however promised to ensure the fast tracking of the project by looking inwards for funding.
