Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has appointed Awwal Tukur, a former member of the House of Representatives, Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
Fintiri, also on Wednesday, announced the appointment of Edgar Amos as his Chief of Staff.
The information is contained in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon by Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.
Awwal Tukur, who served as the Director General of the Presidential/Gubernatorial Campaign Council of PDP in Adamawa State in the 2023 general elections is the son of former PDP chairman, Bamangar Tukur.
He was also former chairman of the Governing Council of the Adamawa State University, Mubi.
Edgar Amos was Adamawa State Head of Service just before the new appointment.
Following Edgar’s new appointment, Shehu Isa Ardo, the most senior civil servant in the state, has been asked to take over as the new Head of Service.
The appointments take immediate effect.
