Nigerian pastor and lawyer, Femi Giwa-Amu after years of absence on facebook returned on Sunday to mourn his dead daughter,Renua who accused him of repeatedly sexually abusing her since age 7.
Renua, who studied at Savannah College of Art & Design in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, committed suicide on Saturday, after warning members of her family not to mourn her .
But on Sunday morning, her father posted a non-verbal message on Facebook, a photo of two hands holding a lit candle.
He did not write anything about the daughter. Just the candle.
His post attracted an outpouring of grief and sympathy from friends and relations, with none raising an issue over Renua’s disclosure about her dad and her suicide .
On 18 September, Renua had gone public to accuse her father of sexually abusing her since she was seven years and other kids too.
She accused her Lawyer and Preacher father of pedophilia, of putting her through prepubescent miscarriage while She was only in Primary 4. She also almost died of sepsis.
She claims She was bartered into blanking out part of her memories over the years, but keeps seeing flashes of memory resurface from the hell She lived through. Renua alleged that her grandfather had also died of grieve after discovering that all the children he kept under her father’s care were being abused as well.
