Ekiti state governor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has approved the appointment of secretaries for Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas of the state.
This was disclosed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Yinka Oyebode in a press statement issued on Monday.
The statement added that the move was geared towards strengthening local government administration in the state.
“In a bid to further strengthen local government administration in Ekiti State, the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has approved the appointment of 35 secretaries for the 16 Local Government Councils and 19 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the State.
“The appointment is with immediate effect.While congratulating the newly appointed secretaries, the Governor urged them to work hand-in-hand with other officials in their respective councils in ensuring remarkable development at the grassroots level”, the statement read.
