The Katsina State Government has distanced itself from the arrest of the immediate past Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dikko Radda on Community Development Programme, Nura Aliyu for Alleged abduction.
Amid reports that Aliyu resigned his appointment to contest for a seat in the Katsina State House of Assembly representing Batsari Constituency, the State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Bala Zango said Aliyu was dismissed
The Commissioner in a statement clarified that Nura Aliyu was dismissed from office over alleged diversion of empowerment materials meant for distribution under the state government’s Community Development Programme.
The Governor commended the State Police Command and other security agencies for their efforts in combating insecurity and urged members of the public to support security agencies by reporting suspicious individuals and activities.
