Pastor Mrs Owolabi, wife of Pastor Juwon Owolabi of Lightlife Church International, has urged married women to embrace and enjoy sexual intimacy in marriage.
Speaking during the church’s “Marriage That Works” programme, she said sex should not be seen only as a means of procreation.
“If you die without experiencing orgasm, you’ve lived a wasted life. God created sex, God instituted sex and as a woman you have the right to enjoy orgasm,” she said.
Mrs Owolabi, who said she married as a virgin with little knowledge of sex beyond biology, noted she later realized intimacy requires deliberate learning.
“I need to understand because this is a body of knowledge, this is like a university,” she said, adding that “God is not against other styles in marriage.”
Her husband, Pastor Juwon, said intimacy should improve with age, citing Abraham’s later marriage to Keturah: “If you take care of yourself, the older you become, the better it should be.”
