Nigerians on Thursday besieged the Police Headquarters in Abuja demanding the end of brutality and oppression by the Force’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad .

The campaigners for a few hours paralyzed vehicular movement on the Sheu shagari way shouting ‘EndSARS’,and wielding placards with the same inscription all calling for the end of brutality, extortion, extrajudicial killings and other misconducts by FSARS.

The protesters poured red paint on the road to illustrate the killings and bloodshed by SARS operatives.

In a similar situation on Wednesday in Lagos, some Youths also took to the Force Headquarters in Ikeja to protest the rights violation, extra judicial killings by some personnel of FSARS.

In a petition written to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, the youths demanded the total disbandment of FSARS.

They also demanded that all FSARS cells across the nation should be opened to allow independent investigation into the cases of detainees.
