Youths protesting police brutality and extra-judicial killings on Monday blocked entrances into the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa and major locations restricting vehiclular flow.
The main gates to the government offices were shut by the protesters who said they are also demanding an end to bad governance in Nigeria.
Civil servants can be seen stranded as gates to their offices were locked while some could not get to work due to the gridlock.
There are multiple road blockages across Lagos city including the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Youth also cordoned off Lekki Tollgate, Berger bus stop, Gbagada, Fagba and other major locations preventing motorists from accessing the roads.
According to Mrs. Eniola Ajewole who spoke to Presentng ” I left my house in Isheri at about 6am going to Yaba but I had to turn back after spending almost 4hours in traffic with no headway ,It is so frustrating”.
Vehicles passing were seen with leaves on their windscreens a sign of solidarity with the protesting youths.
It is unclear what the next line of action will be as Nigerians await when the protest will end so they can get back to their normal lives.
