Following Suit, were Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.

On July 1st, Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa announced that he and his wife had tested positive and a few days after on the 4th of July, Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, and his Benue counterpart, Samuel Ortom announced that they also had caught the virus alongside their wives and aides.
