The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC clinched the third position in the just concluded Year 2025 Headquarters Air Training Command Intra Command sports competition, held at the Nigerian Air Force Base Mando, Kaduna.
While the event featured football and combat race, the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC was invited to participate only in the tug-of-war in which it won the bronze medal against the Nigeria Police Force, NPF; Department for State Service, DSSA; Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC; Nigeria Customs Service, NCS; Air Force Training Command and Air Force Base 453.
Congratulating Team EFCC on its impressive showing in the competition, the Acting Director, Kaduna Zonal Directorate, ACE I Bawa Kaltungo, noted that the athletes showed a strong determination to succeed. “Despite the short notice, I saw the determination in all of you to win and ultimately you all competed as a strong team and it paid off as you all did amazingly well. We will definitely prepare better next time. I salute your courage and willingness to succeed,” he said.
On his part, the Head of the Sports Committee, Kaduna Directorate of the EFCC, ACE II Aliyu Barkindo, while congratulating the team, praised the athletes for projecting the image of the Commission through resilience and collaborative effort.
The closing ceremony which took place on Friday, May 30, 2025 featured the decoration of Team EFCC with the bronze medal.
