The Edo State House of Assembly has directed Natasha Osawaru, the lawmaker representing Egor constituency, to appear before its ethics and privileges committee following her involvement in a series of viral videos circulating online.

Osawaru, who is married to Nigerian music star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, was given one week to face the committee and respond to concerns about her behavior in the videos.

The controversy stems from an Instagram Live session hosted by Daddy Freeze, where Osawaru and 2Baba were seen in a tense exchange. The situation unfolded after 2Baba’s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, joined the live broadcast.

During the session, they accused Natasha of trying to exert “full control” over the singer’s finances and career.

Their remarks prompted 2Baba to abruptly join the livestream, firmly warning them to stop discussing his personal affairs. Moments later, a heated argument between the couple was overheard off-camera.

Another widely shared clip also appeared to show Osawaru shouting at 2Baba inside a store in London.

At Tuesday’s plenary, Speaker Blessing Agbebaku condemned the lawmaker’s actions, stating that Osawaru’s behavior “drags the name of the house into the mud” and has caused the assembly to trend negatively online.

He emphasized that legislators must uphold decorum at all times.

According to him, “Hon. Natasha Irobosa has been summoned to appear before the ethics and privileges committee of the assembly due to her recent conduct which has been trending online.”

He added: “This precious house with cerebral members has been dragged into the mud for too long. She has been trending negatively on the social media and television.

We want to let the public know that this house is a very decent house. We have responsible and intelligent members.

The conduct of a member cannot drag the house into disrepute. We frown against it and we will not take it.”**

The committee will submit its findings to the house within two weeks.
