Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru has again expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Works, David Umahi whom he described as the catalyst that enabled him to attain the pinnacle of success.

He emphasized that he owes his current position to the fact that he was the greatest beneficiary of Umahi’s governance.

The governor articulated his sentiments by stating that God could have potentially utilized another individual to elevate him to the position of governor, but Senator Umahi was the chosen vessel, uniquely positioned to facilitate his ascension.

He said: “God would have used another person to make me governor but Umahi was the only person available to be used. At the time God searched for a person to use in making me governor, Umahi made himself available.”

Governor Nwifuru further acknowledged that Senator Umahi played a pivotal role in his appointment as Speaker of the state House of Assembly, a position he held for eight years.

He reflected on his tenure as Speaker, noting that he discharged his duties with integrity and honesty, and that his experience under Senator Umahi’s leadership was instrumental in shaping his perspective and informing his approach to governance.

The governor also lauded Senator Umahi’s exemplary leadership, highlighting his exceptional ability to excel in various sectors, including peacekeeping, infrastructure development, and human capital development.

He described Senator Umahi as a goal-getter, adept at seizing opportunities and achieving his objectives with precision and determination
