While thanking the Government and people of Nasarawa State for providing the Police with the training ground, the Minister expressed optimism that the training will make participants perform better in their task of protecting and securing lives and property of citizens.

According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari is desirous of reforming the Police Force which is why his administration apart from directing State Governments to constitute Panels of Inquiry to bring to book culprits of brutality and extra judicial killings among the police has ordered a review of their salaries including those of other security agencies.

He used the medium to appeal to Nigerians to give the nation’s president time to implement all the demands put forward to reform the police force, just as he implored the new SWAT team to be professional in conduct and not renege in carrying out their task in accordance with democratic tenets.
