Lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, has announced his intention to seek re-election in the forthcoming legislative polls, confirming that he has obtained his nomination form for another term.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, Desmond Elliot said his decision to return to the Lagos State House of Assembly is driven by a continued commitment to public service and the desire to consolidate ongoing development projects within his constituency.

The Desmond Elliot re-election bid in Lagos Assembly is also tied to his belief that a return would elevate him to the status of a ranking member, which he claims would bring additional benefits and influence to Surulere Constituency I.

He stated that his previous tenure has been focused on developmental progress and expressed confidence that continuity would further strengthen governance outcomes in the area.

Desmond Elliot also expressed appreciation to party leaders, ward executives, youth and women groups, and community stakeholders, crediting their support as a key factor in his political journey so far.

He urged his supporters to remain calm and united throughout the electoral process, emphasising the importance of peace, discipline, and mutual respect.

According to him, collective unity remains the foundation of progress in Surulere, adding that he is confident the same spirit will guide supporters in the coming election season.

The lawmaker reaffirmed that his priority remains the sustained development of Surulere Constituency I and contributing to broader growth initiatives within Lagos State.
