An officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdulwahab Magaji, serving in the Federal Capital Territory has been found dead at his apartment residence on Binta Street, Farm Estate area, Kano.
The family of the deceased reportedly raised the alarm that Magaji had shot himself with a rifle, prompting police officers to visit the scene of the incident.
It was gathered that when the police arrived at the scene, the victim was reportedly rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the NCS, Abdullahi Maiwada, confirmed his death to DAILY POST on Monday although the Service has yet to ascertain the exact cause of Magaji’s death.
He noted that the Nigeria Police Command in Kano is investigating the matter.
“There is an officier confirmed death in his premises. Whether he killed himself or was assassinated, we do not know yet.
“Let us wait for the Police investigation,”
