Customs Intercepts N6.1m Worth Of Drugs With Fake NAFDAC Number In Katsina

The Nigeria Customs Service, Strike Force zone B have intercepted hard drugs worth N6.1 million and with a fake National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC  registration number

The strike force’s coordinator, Oseni Olorukooba disclosed that the drugs were intercepted by the Force operatives in Malumfashi and Jibia Local Government Areas of Katsina state.

Some of the seized items include 52 cartons of EJAC powder manpower, hympashy capsule, amipara plus capsule, bobarak capsule manpower, sacks manpower, goldfly, gonorrhoea capsule and ginseng coffee manpower.

Other items seized by the operatives included 550 bags of foreign rice, 300 cartons of foreign spaghetti, 790 cartons of foreign soap concealed in biscuits and noodles’ cartons and a motorcycle with the duty paid value of N104,788,000.

Outlining how smuggling has adverse effects on Nigeria’s economy and trading activities, Oseni assured Nigerians that operatives will continue to discourage smuggling in Nigeria.
