Cross River government says additional 1000 soldiers have been drafted to the state to support internal security.
This was confirmed in a statement by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor,Christian Ita on Monday.
According to the statement ,the move is to further complement Governor Ben Ayade’s effort in ensuring security of lives and properties in the state.

” The efforts of the state governor, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade to ensure security of lives and property in the state has received a major boost with the drafting of additional one thousand soldiers to the state to assist with internal security.”
” Following this development, the state is grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Defence Minister, the Chief of Army Staff, LT General Tukur Buratai, Chief of Defence Staff, the General Officer Commanding, 82 Div, Enugu and Brigade Commander, 13 Amphibious Battalion, Calabar,” the statement reads.
